Very cozy, chic apartment. I love that it's only 5 minutes away from Overton Square (check out Lafayette's Music Room for some fun without the craziness of Beale Street) and 10 minutes away from downtown (Beale Street, Riverfront, Civil Rights Museum). Would definitely stay again.

This place is incredibly cozy. The home is historic and well kept. It felt like home. I definitely recommend it to anyone hoping to stay in Memphis, especially for the price. It’s tough to beat!
Tim was helpful throughout the entire stay. Somewhat decent response time. Other than the shower the stay was ideal.
The host was extremely communicative and the place was clean and cozy. It is an older building so be mindful that there are some things that just won't appear as in a new place. If older building with creaky floors bother you then this isnt the place, but if you can appreciate rustic charm and cozy vibes then give it a try and i dont think youll be disappointed.

Place was a little smaller than expected, but had everything we needed and more. Thoughtful touches to make our stay that much more relaxed and enjoyable. There was a minor issue with the shower drain, but maintenance was already aware and showed up same day to resolve it. Excellent central location to check out all Memphis has to offer, greatly enjoyed my stay, and would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at Tim’s place. Although, I gave it 4 stars there wasn’t anything Tim couldn’t do better for our stay. He was fast at communicating and very welcoming. The Airbnb was great! Clean, stylish, and had all the amenities listed. However, this place does have other people in the building. Which means there a lot of noise. At first, we weren’t bothered by it but we were on the first floor and around 4 am people were arguing, stomping (or walking hard) , and etc ... so if you don’t enjoy that than I don’t think this Airbnb is suitable for you. But, with all that being said this Airbnb was great and we enjoyed our stay at Tim’s. In the future we would love to have him host us again. Thank you Tim for making our stay outstanding!
Great location to explore Memphis. 5 minute Uber to Beale St and vey close to Overland Square.
There’s no floor heat as listed, no real balcony access as listed, and Tim is impossible to work with. I couldn’t stay one night because of how off the place was from the description

We loved our stay at this historic and bohemian place. Loved the wood floors, tall ceilings and cool furnishings. Fantastic location. Kitchen too! Hope to return soon and will definitely stay here again. Memphis proved to be an interesting and multifaceted city.
Beautiful decor, cozy space in a great location. Unit could really use a good sweep, vacuum, and mop. Host needs to do a walk through in between guests to ensure unit is FULLY cleaned and disinfected. Be sure to bring tissue and paper towels (only enough for the first day of stay, we stayed for 3 nights), dishwashing liquid, and hand soap. Shower could use a light.

Nice spot, a little far from downtown. Mostly clean but some questionable spots in the bathroom. Sometimes you hear people through the walls as it’s an old house. Laundry is very convenient

Honestly I’d just at a hotel. We tried to do an air bnb just to have a little more room but it was pretty small and really couldn’t utilize the kitchen. Also, the livingroom outlets didn’t work so we had to move the tv to find a working outlet. Responds time was pretty slow but they were polite once they did respond.
Great little spot to stay. Host was very efficient with communications and even provided a personal guide of area. Location is near many things but in a questionable area. Overall great place to stay for the price.
Stay was great! It is perfectly located and ideal for a weekend getaway.
The property is not as described. We will not rent this flat on our next trip to Memphis and we will avoid renting from Tim / Midtown Properties in the future. Caveat Emptor.
The problems:
- The photo and description on the website greatly misrepresent the size/scale of the accommodations.
- There is no bedroom furniture with the exception of a small lamp table. Plan on living out of your suitcase and taking it off of the bed before sleeping.
- The bathroom sink is too small to use for anything other than washing hands. I had to brush my teeth and wash my face in the kitchen sink.
- The air conditioner was inadequate for the apartment and it wasn't even the hot season in Memphis.
- The furniture, rugs and window coverings were seriously worn (out).
- The only chair is a rolling office chair. There was nothing other than a worn out futon or stool to sit on.
- The keypad entry door lock malfunctioned and we were locked out for 30 mins until I managed to reach an operator in California that provided us with the code for a key lock box nearby.
- There is no security peep hole on the door and no clear view of the stoop from any window without moving the futon and pressing your face against the window to get a glimpse of the stoop.
Great location, perfect spot for a quick weekend away. The apartment is close enough to some cool restaurants that will give a different flavor of Memphis. Pay attention to the description of the building it is old and you can hear others. I appreciated the warning as the buidling is just that, but the apartment is cute and comfortable.

Super cute apartment, enjoyed the stay. Only negative was that it could have been cleaned a little better, the shower curtain was a little nasty, and it seemed to be a little mold by the sink. Would still come recommend.
This is a great centrally located property. The neighborhood has lots of good options to eat and visit and getting to the downtown area is easy with a quick Uber or Lyft.

It’s my second time staying at Tim’s urban zen oasis. The home is beautiful! I absolutely love the space and the location. Communication with Tim and his team is always great, and check-in/check-out is a breeze. I would definitely recommend this listing to anyone. Perfect for a solo traveler or couple.

Great spot for a couple or single traveler. Tim and team were so responsive and their instructions were very clear! The place had everything you needed to feel at home. Two small critiques would be having more comfortable pillows and more effort in cleaning the floors (floors were clean-ish -- not horrible, but a quick vacuum would have elevated our experience a tad more)

Looks can be deceiving. This little midtown apartment looks darling. It is in a cool old building, nice location with off street parking. The problems show up as you settle in. Like others have said in previous reviews, the cleanliness of the floors is an issue. We were hopeful that it would have been addressed by the time we arrived but sadly, no. The futon has been worn to the point of being nothing but wood and springs. It is the only place to sit and relaxing was not in the cards in the living room. The bed is super comfy if you can get past the sheets that are pilled up terribly and scratchy on your skin. The bathroom sink and vanity are too small for the space and the faucet does not function properly. I’m guessing from mineral build up. Same goes for the shower head that has no pressure and lime build up. I was hopeful that the owners had remedied these things when I booked because their feedback to others appeared sincere. If they can guarantee you that they took my money and used it to address these things then you will want to give them five stars.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. We felt very safe and secure with our private entrance and coded lock. Check in was easy and the location couldn’t have been better. Midtown has so many great bars, restaurants and little shops. Walking or driving is easy with the private, off street parking. We had everything we needed in this Airbnb.

The places in this building are awesome. This spot is my go-to whenever I’m back home in Memphis to visit.
I’ve stayed twice now, first in another one of the apartments and then in this one.
It’s an old style Memphis home. The whole place is great. It’s well built, so despite the multiple Air BnBs you have the utmost sense of privacy.
Tim is a responsive host and the place is well stocked with coffee and Kuerig cups.
the front porch and the back lot are both great places to hang out when you aren’t out enjoying the city.
This particular room is great because you walk right out back into the parking lot.
Living room is great. Beds are comfortable.
Also, the shower heads in this place are poppin’.

Tim was very responsive throughout my stay! The location is very central to many of the great things to do in Memphis and having the private parking lot was really helpful! As most buildings in midtown Memphis, it is old and has lots of character. The space is updated and Tim has made it feel so cozy and inviting, but do expect some of the quirks that come with an older building. Personally, that just made me feel more like a true midtown resident for the weekend! Overall, I’d highly recommend!
Like staying at a friend's house! This was a very cozy, spacious, and homey unit. The bed and comforter were very comfortable. Wifi speed was great. Kitchen was just right. I had everything I needed. : )

This unit is in an unsafe neighborhood. The 'balcony' pictured is not connected to the unit and you have to leave your door unlocked to go up and access it. I let the management know from day one there were issues with fighting (twice) nearby and that other tenants were very noisy at all hours of the night. There are no security cameras and I know this because they thought I'd left and left the door unlocked but was still packing up. I gave them three days to offer some solution and none was offered except asking me to let them know if it continues--which I did. I left a night early feeling exhausted and unsafe and asked for a refund of the final night. They said since I didn't like the neighborhood from the beginning that it did not warrant a refund, yet they offered no solution. The Beale St. music festival was going on so there were no options to move and they offered no solution. I filmed the unit on my way out because I do not trust this management. First negative experience I've had with an Airbnb host

Tim and his team did a great job communicating and providing all the necessary information. Check in could not have been easier. The small unit was clean and comfortable. The only thing to note is the shower was small and hard to move around in and the water pressure was dismal. I would stay here again for the location and the price!
